Fussy cutting is really popular for quilters, but is actually a popular method amongst scrapbookers and card makers too. In the scrapbooking world, fussy cutting is essentially cutting out an image, design, or other art form from the paper.
The most important thing is to have a really great pair of scissors- the kind of scissors that you hide in a drawer when the kids come to visit. Thankfully, Country Craft Creations has the best scissors for fussy cutting. Shop for the scissors here.
Why is fussy cutting an essential scrapbook technique?
Now that you have the pumpkins, puppies, and books cut out from the paper you chose, you have to decide what to do with them. Let your creativity go wild! You can layer the images on top of other paper, stick on buttons for more dimension, and add in die cuts to go along with your work too. Some creative scrapbookers will use foam pieces to have their cuts pop out from the page! Do we foresee a story book in the making?
