CURRENTLY...

I needed today's topic. I need to focus on the gifts of today. I needed to do a 'CURRENTLY' journal.

Many of you know I am dealing with construction in my house. It started as a pipe leak, that caused a ridiculous amount of damage for the size of the leak. Suffice it so say, it came from the second-floor main bathroom and was leaking down behind the walls of the kitchen, my hallway steps, and into to the basement. It's about "pin holes" that develop in older homes with old copper pipes. Apparently, there are enzymes in today's water that actually eat through the copper and produce tiny holes that can cause a lot of damage. Because the basement ceiling, walls and floors were ruined in the area of the leak, and mildew was forming, the entire basement was gutted. This happened the end of March. Between waiting for insurance, materials, contractor working around these issues- and 4 more leaks, one causing the brand-new basement floor to be pulled up, the new sheet rock taken down, and now my kitchen celling needing to opened. I am still living in what looks like an episode of Burn That House!

To add insult to injury, my wallpaper was finally being installed yesterday. Oh, yes- we had to get all new wallpaper throughout my living room, stairway and hallway, because the leak was behind the stairway wall and had to be opened. So, they started to hang the paper yesterday. Jimmy and I were putting up the outdoor decorations up so I could feel some Christmas spirit right now in this mess of a house. I came in to get a cup of tea and thought something looked off. When I got closer to the corner, I saw that they did not match the paper correctly when they turned a corner. I thought I was seeing things- I actually thought it must be my eyes, this can’t be happening. I called Jimmy in, and off course he saw it. Well... today the paper is being taken down.

I GIVE UP!!!! Now, to protect their contractor, the wallpaper people, and my family from my wrath- I go into, there must be reason, God must have a plan, everyone is alive and pretty healthy - there's nothing you can do mode. But I can write, and I find the good in my life right now.

So today will be crafting a " CURRENTLY" entry. I try to do one each season. It is fun to look back and see where you were and what you're thinking and doing in December 2018 let alone yes ago.
You can copy and paste the list in word, then print and attach to today's daily, or you can hand write it on your pretty paper. You can delete, change or add - no rules! These should be quick little blurbs! Put the title CURRENTLY on top of your paper in big letters- maybe sparkle ones!!! You can do it in list form, make little blocks, make a tree with round circles and writ in each ornament. Anything goes! You can also break this into two or three different days if you like. But I think you will love it.

It makes you take notice of all the gifts around you. I would love to show you my past ones - BUT THEY ARE PACKED BECAUSE MY HOUSE IS A DEMOLITION SIGHT!!!! Thank God Tamra saw my house when it was a home!

Someone's 'Currently' that found online. Simple and to the point

So, here is your list, I hope you will find it therapeutic - I do. If you can't do many of these prompts - I hope you do this one- I promise- you will enjoy looking back on it a few years from now- and no matter what bad things may be going on, you will see that the good, joyful currently's outnumber the bad ones!
